would a YZ10 super dogfighter be legal? I know the time line says 1994 and earlier, the timeline says that the car came out early 1994, but I know it was sold after that as well.
any opinions?
I just picked one up and am wanting to make the trip next year so I want to make sure I concentrate my resto efforts on the right cars in my stable.

I would definitely think it's vintage enough in my opinion.

As long as it was available in 94 it would be legal. My tip, run 2 classes, I got a little bored running just one class.

When I make the trip I'm bringing an aresenal. I always bring too many cars when I go racing, I don't race them all, but then you always have a back up, or you can pick and choose what is going to be the best classes for the day. for the VoNATS I was planning truck, 4wd, and buggy. maybe I'll get a lunchbox for heavy metal, I've always wanted one anyhow.

That race is a blast no matter what you bring, but the more the merrier. I'm running buggy and truck for next year, I might prep a classic entry for anyone that wants to race. I'll Probably put it on the host track's forum for somebody's kid to race, call it a rent a racer.
Heavy metal was a fun class to watch.

Yep its def legal. As long as it was made in 94 it doesn't matter how long it was made for. 94 is even a general rule not to be taken for its letters. It refers more to the style of car than the actual production year. With some exceptions like the Losi XX I was trying to keep it before "modern" designs that used molded chassis, etc. I always tell everyone that it's just like full size vintage races, the spirit of the race is more important than winning and if you're looking to dominate the race your coming for all the wrong reasons. It sure is fun to win of course but to me its more fun to see all the cars run together again. Isn't that what our part of the hobby is about... memories?
