Re: JRX2 projects thread
In my opinion the 5 link car was coolest thing ever produced. I've always been an AE guy, but once I got my hands on an original Jr-X2, I may have had a change of mind. The engineering on this car is beautiful!

this is why I am a Losi guy I was racing a RC10 way back when I was Racing, the guy who was winning every week was running a Jrx Pro, it was so much easer to work on less parts, and worked better. I bought that car from him he went into a RC10L. back then we raced in a school gym so you raced run what you brong. 10L's raced RadioShack. it was Fun though, even that 10L wasnt as good as the Pro. it was to light no traction.

Yeah, I was the 1st guy at my track to have a JRX2....it was much more efficient, hence faster, than my RC10....but I still prefer the RC10. Much more ways to customize. Not a fan of all black.

Re: JRX2 projects thread
I wish they made the parts dieable. also but they are somuch easer to work on. thats what I liked about them. but My Pro se is pretty trick I think. it has a lot of custom and aftermarket parts. but if you dont know what your looking at it does just look all black.HotRodJosh wrote:[Yeah, I was the 1st guy at my track to have a JRX2....it was much more efficient, hence faster, than my RC10....but I still prefer the RC10. Re: JRX2 projects thread
Yeah...I must not know what I'm looking at...haha. I just know that the molded chassis', like on the Pro SE, are fugly....
Losi cars are nice for sure, but the quality of the old one's were no where near the quality of AE cars of the same era...but they're still better than ANY new car today.

Re: JRX2 projects thread
See the point is the Losi's dont need all of the Aftermarket parts offerd like to the RC10 because they did it right to begain with. they dont need to be upgraded.

Re: JRX2 projects thread
Remember...there wopuld be NO LOSI without the RC10.....
Losi was an aftermarket supplier of RC10 parts before they tried to beat AE at their own game....

Re: JRX2 projects thread
I know the RC10 is a great car but to me just a little to many parts. I like my Losi's much better. I was diehard RC10 untill I bought my first Losi. witch I still have 21 years later. I sold my RC10 soon after I went Losi. its hard to beat its simplistic design.

Yeah, that's the way I feel too. I like both brands (obviously ) but the pan chassis RC10's are so easy to modify you gotta love them. Losis are just cool, the 5 link suspension on the JRX2 is a work of art!HotRodJosh wrote:Too many parts??? Re: JRX2 projects thread
I must say I am not a fan of the 5-link, I use the H-arm's on all of my cars. more like the RPM arms I should say.

Re: JRX2 projects thread
I saw that first picture of the thread and said to myself "that doesn't look like my old JRx2".
Then I saw the 5 link... yep that was it!
Awesome car.
Thanks for the trip back in time.

JRX2 in the late 80s... have since come to my senses with the RC10T, yes of course it's vintage! Wife is always destroying her Tamiaya LunchBox to call me her personal mechanic a few more times. Enjoying the fresh build of an RJ Speed Digger.
