Terrible day... please take a moment to hug your loved ones

Hey guys- I work a lot in front of a computer, so I end up spending a lot of time on here. Most of my free time is spent with my wife and kids, so I don't have many close 'friends' that I hang out with. I do feel that this is an extended family and yesterday was a terrible day. My wife's best friend had an aneurysm and suddenly left us. This is a person my wife leaned on almost as much as she did me, who was a confidante, a companion and probably more of sister than either of her 2 biological siblings could ever be.

My thoughts are with Jen's family, her husband and daughter, and with my wife who is struggling to make sense of this all. I just wanted anyone who has family, friends, etc to remember to tell them you love them and cherish the time you have together.

That is very sad to hear, and I am very sorry to hear it. My mother died suddenly of an aneurysm 3 years ago and for our family it was like a huge black hole opening up and swallowing the way of life which we were used to. Overnight, our family way of life changed so radically that we are still getting over it to this day. So, again, I am sorry to hear your news and I hope all are holding up the best they can...it is a difficult time indeed.

Thanks guys. I've been trying to put my head down and work today, but it's rough going. Your condolences are a great boost and, as said, we are trying to be strong and help their family any way we can. CNA I am sorry for your loss too. I have lost 5 elderly or ill family members in the past two years but the sudden nature of this is just unfair- she was a beautiful person in every way. Take care, Jeff

Wow, sorry to hear that. It's always tough to lose someone, but even more so when you don't see it coming. My thoughts are with you and your wife and her friend's family.

It's a sad part of life. It's one of those things we all have to deal with in one way or another, sooner or later. Just remember her for the good person she was, that will keep her alive in your hearts.

My condolences

Her daughter was over for a few hours this afternoon-- my kids and wife played some games and talked a little. Jen's folks also stopped by-- they told my wife they think of her as a daughter. It's easy to see where she got her temperment and compassion from. :)
There's going to be a service next week at 230pm-- my kids' school is going to have a lot of early dismissals that day!! :D We'll all get through this together, but 41 is just way too young. Thanks again for your thoughts and support.

Been out of town, my condolences for your family and hers. This is a very difficult time of the year
to deal with such a loss, the thoughts of those you have lost are only magnified during the holidays.
