FINALLY won an LXT...few questions

Hi all,
Well I've finally won myself an LXT:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160384883640&_trksid=p2761.l1259
As you can see, the left rear arm and possibly the inner arm mount seem to be broken. I'm going to run it so I'd like to put together a XX-Retro-Fit transmission for it, anyone have one lying around that's in raceable shape? I could use a bunch of spares to go with it too

Maybe a new body too.... Do the current Losi truck rims fit the LXT? I'll post a few before and after pics once I get it (in the proper forum of course).

A broken rear like that may be an indication that the rear bulkhead may also have some damage.
If this is the case, buy some brass tube (k&s) to use as a bushing. There's a size that's just a little bit bigger the the 1/8 inch hinge pin. You'll only need about a 1/4 inch for each side. It can then be glued into place.
I've used this trick before during my "basement" racing phase where my buddies and I would easily go through a few sets of rear h-arms in one evening. The bulkheads were pricey ($7) back in the day...let alone on today's market.
Good luck on the project...
Regards,
highwayracer

The rear rims from the XXXT fit fine. For the front, the offset is wrong. Order a set of GTX/NXT front axles, and you can run XXXT front rims also. Be advised, the track width of the front is a touch wider than the rear after using the GTX axles. I was going to attempt to use the XXTCR rear hub carriers and bones to make the truck wider in the rear.
I have "sleeved" the rear hinge pin area in both the rear bulkhead and toe bar many times. Works like a charm!

Thanks! It's dirty but as far as I can tell, it's also not really sloppy or beat up.
The A&L Power Clutch was a SWEET surprise, there was no mention of a slipper in the auction although the slipper gear cover *could* have been a tell tale sign... Anyhow, The only thing I need to make it whole is a new right rear arm and a rear inner arm mount. The rear bulkhead is intact along with the front upper chassis brace.
The disassembly has left me with a few questions:
The diff gear: are they normally a reddish colour and not a dark gray like the rest of the gears?
Are there universals available to replace the sliders?
Is the steering servo just taped/shoe-goo'd in place or do I have a one-off chassis with no servo mounting holes?
I'm sure once I get it more torn apart and cleaned up I'll have some more questions and definitely more pics. THanks guys!
