RC10 Street Stock Basher...

Just some quick pics of my RC10 street stock conversion that I just finished. This will be strictly a parking lot basher. I got the chassis off ebay and bought new RPM suspension parts and a bomber conversion kit from Speedy’s Racing Parts. The transmission is out of a T3 that only had one battery pack run through it. LOL I am using RJSpeed drag rears so the rear wheels don’t stick out so much. They are a ½ inch narrower than regular pan car tires. They are mounted with CRP adapters…. I added a Bolink Legends front bumper to the rear because the rear of gold tub was pretty well tore up. I kept the old Associated motor because there was not much wear on it. Just some minor things left to do on it… sand the wheelwells on the body smooth and maybe a few more small decals. It runs great in the house on the carpet… now if it just wasn’t raining outside. =(

Pardon the crappy phone pics… LOL

looks awesome, I have been wanting to build something similar every since that body came out. Looks like a fun car.

Very cool! The "low detail" body/ paint scheme actually gives it a 1 to 1 scale look. LOL Ever seen a real bomber? They pretty much look like they're painted with Glidden exterior paint with a 4inch brush. LOL

Maybe a different wheel/ tire combo but, I really like it!

Good catch on the paint/detail... I kept it simple to mimic the look of the real thing. I had a leftover can of Tamiya Corsa Gray laying around forever and finally decided to use it. I go to the local quarter mile paved oval every summer where the body of choice there is the '70s Camaro for the Street Stock & Bomber classes.

As for the wheels... Not sure if I want to keep the pan car stuff or put some Custom Works wheels on it.

I dig it, I would do the custom works wheels personally. Here's the details on how to make the CW wheels fit properly.
