You might call it an RC10

I'm still on the fence, but RC10 B/T may be on the build sheet.

Original RC10T... updated with:
Novak 10.5t brushless motor, Novak GTB esc, tie rods and ends, Proline DIRTWORKS tires, a whole new set of Robinson pinion gears odd-sizes from 15-25, a few spurs at 81 teeth each, and an RC10 Proline clear body.

I want to show you the build as it is now... we're a few weeks in, I'll work back in time with the pictures to show you what's happened.

I figure we've all seen RC cars, how about some artistic liberties?

Don't worry, I'll lead you through the build with regular ho-hum photos.

Nice work. Eager to see the final paint scheme. I've got an unpainted viper shell that will be going on my 10T basher. Thinking about doing a world's based scheme. Are you going to try the velcro?

I really like clear bodies... would I get ousted if I left it that way?
Also thought of dying all the white to bright green and going with a bit of a Grave Digger homage.
My allegiance lies with Tom Meents and the way MaxD handles, but the Digger is just so cool!

Not sure of attachment yet. The way I cut the front with the little hook still remaining on the nose is great for keeping the body on in the front without other types of attachment. The hook can be weaved up over the cross piece where the truck body posts are, or it can go just in front of it and the body sits a bit lower which is good too. A rubber band has been working really well to go from the tops of the shocks in the rear, stretched across from bolt to bolt. I've though about just getting longer bolts up there so it could be a more permanent thing. Maybe get some bright green rubber bands. But, yeah, the velcro is seeming like the best choice at this point, if I need it to be more secure for off road. Its mostly a pavement pounder right now though. I manage a storage facility so I have a lot of fresh new black top that's all gated in and lit well at night too!

carefull with the free-revving, i've read some brushless motors dont like that sort of thing.

Non sintered older Novaks were famous for letting go in a little magnatized pile of rotor casing during over reving, and especially if you ramped the throttle w/o a pinion on--even for a brief time

Thank you for the words of wisdom... wasn't running it too hard though, definitely not long enough to get warm, really.
But, even still, under my strenuous testing (not on this video ), its already lasted quite well. Replaced many parts too! Haha.

Did some pavement pounding today...

The ESC shut down the motor for heat, after some nice full throttle runs for about 8-10 minutes.

I should probably change the gear ratio. Its down at 9.59 ratio, at the moment.

I can't get the adjustability that I want w/the dogbones that are on there now.
Where would I look for just slightly longer ones?

How about wheel bearings? I'm sure there's lots of special stuff. For now, my wheels will be wobbly!

Finally broke down and made a decision on the body...

I've always wanted a clear body, but there had to be accents.
This is what I came up with.

I have nothing against clear bodies on a shelfer but if you run them they should have some color! Just my humble opinion.
