http://kyoshoparts.blogspot.com/

Made this blog specifically for the purpose of helping people with Ultima, Optima, and Javelin Rebuilds, and general kyosho stuff too.

If ANYONE out there has anything to contribute, please shoot me a PM with links and info.

Looking for:
-Replacement parts readily available
-Parts for new cars that fit on old cars (even with modifications)
-Or parts like the ST15 Ultima thing.

Im also going to be looking for Kyosho Manuals too to post up on there to centralize some information, so if anyone has good links let me know, anything thats not on http://www.retromodelisme.com/liste_manuel.html would be lovely!

any suggestions let me know. i do plan to add manuals, kyosho specific links, and maybe forum links, not that there is too many more than here and tamiya club

Was the Triumph the first of the ultimas to have the Spur slipper set up like the stealth under the gear cover, or did any of the Pros have a similar gearbox.
. How did the PRO-x gears hold up to power. DiD they strip easy.

Triumph were the first one with the spur slipper.

Mike- Losi still make a 2.0" step pin in a silver compound. Maybe they dont look vintage enough but they certainly fit the old rims well and handle awesomely!

Not entirely true: there was an option for the optima mid also, standard on some editions I think.

I do wonder if the triumph was the first RC car (so no tjust kyosho) to use a double-padded slipper though?

Edit: afterthought: the slipper on the optima mid is double-padded also I believe and would then be the first... unless anyone knows another model/brand that came earlier???

Does the xrt, and pro-x share the same gear boxes as the gas versions of the buggy and truck. Just turned around for mid set up to gas :?:

I'm pretty sure the ratio's are different. I know the internal gears in the gas version's are larger than in the original SST.
