Nice car
Have you seen the Bolink 1/12 wheels being sold cheap in bulk on ebay?
They obviously arent the original AE ones, but they appear more peroid and are cheap

Can't wait for this one to arrive. Delta Super Phaser circa 1982 plus goodies. :D

So, what's the hot tip to preserving these old foams in addition to obviously keeping them away from air and light? Paragon? Suntan lotion? I keep all my rubber tires in ziplock bags stored in a rubbermaid tub.

Wow that Phaser is so nice. I love the vintage Novak stuff. The other car is nice also, I just can't take my eyes of the Novak gear.
He's an idiot. Comes from upbringing. His parents are probably idiots too.

Hot Trick indeed! They also made one for the 12L as well a the Delta Phaser and Spider. I have the Spider chassis, but not the Phaser. Suprisingly enough, the spare Hot Trick chassis' I have sold throughout the years for the 1/12 cars fetched hardly any money.

Vintage 1/12th hasn't really caught on, so any HT stuff is still pretty much worthless. Unmolested cars seem to be where it's at. Not to say that the 1/12th HT stuff won't catch on. It seems that Novak NES-1A servos are starting to peak, not to mention correct tires and wheels.

I'm just starting to get into the vintage 1/12th, so I hope to find at least a few deals before it goes all gold six gear RC10...

A part of my collection. My recent purchases include an RC12iS with the full suspension front end, but still looks a mess so got no pictures of it. A teaser for the future there.

Lexan chassis, big in Europe in the early 80s when we raced indoors on polished wood floors. The huge amount of flex meant they were very light and generated loads of rear end grip - they actually need soft front tyres. Tyres are covered in silicone to make them grip the floor.

They all disappeared when we moved onto carpet as they were too flexible.

I raced slotcars for a short while. They kept the natural rubber foam tires from dehydrating by soaking them with a special glue.
It's the kind of glue they use on the tires to make them stick to the track.
Parma should have it on sale.
It never dries and kreeps away: better keep the tires in a tupper box still.

I also raced slots, still have an old pit box with a layer of tire glue in the bottom of it... nasty stuff. Was hoping there was something less messy...

cool, i raced slot cars also. i got a bunch of them down in the basement.

trinity used to make this stuff called tire tweak. it was for rejuvenating old dried out foam tires. that stuff worked great. i looked on tower, but they must not make it anymore. another thing that would work would be gojo hand cleaner. work it into the foam real good, and throw them in a ziplock bag. i've also heard of guys soaking the tires in wd-40.
