Time to rebuild this thing. Haven't used it in atleast 12 years. Going to be running it in mod class at the next vintage meet at Castle Hill (Sydney) in a couple of months..
I got this one brand new in 1993, it's my first ever race car. It's the first version of the Club 10 which is the same as an original Cougar with the belt transmission. Originally came with red anodised shocks and bronze bushings.
I think I ran it once with bronze bushings then I put ball bearings in it. Later it ended up with a Cougar 2 body (which I attempted to do a peeling paint job on and failed) and front shock tower, so I put some rear shocks on the front and kept the standard Cougar front arms.
That big box you can see through the window is a Tamiya CPR unit (ESC and receiver in 1) from a Rookie rabbit, I don't think i'll be using that now
Plan is just to rebuild it as is, I don't mind running old bodies as long as they're my own paint jobs, then adapt some Yokomo MX4 wheels to it since I haven't got any Schumacher 2.2's, and run it with a 10.5t motor.

Hi Thomas,
I'll have to sort you out with some 2.2" 5 spoke rims for this Cougar of yours. I'm also running a Cougar aswell. You could easily mount a Topcat shell on this car, I've mounted one on mine and it looks cool old skool.

Yeah did you find out if the 2.2 inch rims are still available new?
I've got another Cougar I might put a Topcat body on, wanna keep this one as close to how I used to race it as possible.
