now, i know it's not very vintage. but, i'm a reader, and it's one of my rides, so BACK OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i tore it all down, and cleaned it up. i also stripped the blue annodizing off the shock bodies while they were apart. i stripped the chassis shortly after i got it, so now the shocks have the bling factor, too.

and like most of my cars, this one needs a body, too. and a set of tires.

gt's rule. imo they can be considered somewhat vintage since the gt2 came out.

I did the studs speed. Would not want that one taken a run up MY leg.

No, I hate painting. You'll see when I get some pics up... My avatar is a stolen Cliff Lett pic... I have no Moo painted vehicles.

LOL, no kiddin! Those tires held up good fo a long time, but I stopped using them as soon as I noticed a stud missing. I used a soda bottle cut into strips to re-enforce the studs, worked great and had zero ballooning of the tires. It would pull wheelies on shear ice if you hit just right, fun fun fun!

Anybody else have a GT???

Here's my very early 7060 GT patiently awaiting it's turn in the BIZ bucket.

7066 Team Truck, later version with black arms. It's also in line for a little attention to detail. I can't live with the purple hardware and rocket city ball ends. I have an OS CZ-Z waiting to go in this one.

Wow, you have the Paris pipe, that's very cool, and very rare. That pipe pre-dates the front shock tower. I believe the pipe was the very first thing to get changed. Very cool trucks, too bad they are so dirty....

Sorry, they'll get their chance to be cleansed soon... I don't think there is an earlier GT front tower, except maybe on the pre-production trucks which would have still had the 7001 truck tower... like used on the Dudgeon conversions. If I could only find a Yokomo RX12 motor... :?
