Is the spur gear on the King cab 48P or is it the metric fine pitch?

they're the metric ones.
robinson racing used to make standard 48p spur gears for them. last time i looked, liquidrc.com still had some. i was gonna grab a couple for my brother-in-laws tamiya hilux last year, because i wanted to run it up at the nats. but didn't get up there.

they have a couple different ones.

So this truck ended up a build out of a bunch of parts I ended up with on an auction win. The truck is pretty much stock.... with a few updates. Turnbuckles were added all around. Turns out the AE RC8 steering link was the right size for the 4mm oddball camber links, so that is what I used. I did not have any OE Tamiya shocks with my stash, so I used a set of Losi 1.2" out of my parts bin. I did have to redrill holes to mount the upper shocks down just a bit since the Losi's were a tad too short. Should leave me with better tuning options than the CVA's.
I installed the Robinson 48 pitch spur cluster in the tranny. Rebuilt the diff. It is not the smoothest, but hopefully will get the job done. I did pick up an extra gear set from the Super Astute with the planetary diff just in case.
McAllister Kingcab body using the Hilux racer body mounts. Still waiting on the Budweiser decals to come in for the side doors.
