Color of gold tub box art

Looking for the colors or how to make the colors of the orangish gold tub body. I spent about 30 minutes here searching and no luck. Never did a buggy before with my RC10. Now I'm realizing you almost have to cut the rear shock area of the body in half. Argh!

Some of the pics I have look as though the decals were installed inside the body.

Thanks

I am not a paint expert by any means but I thought I would get the replies started. I have found that many of the old colors are no longer around. I am not sure if this is the case here or not. I do not know if you have an actual box or just a picture but I would get some red, orange and yellow and tweak the mixture until you get the shade you are looking for. I would use a scrap piece of lexan for a test and make sure the paint is dry as this can affect the shade.
Yes the body does get rather thin in the rear area. I remember my runners back in the day would always crack there. If this is for display you should not have any problems but if it is for a runner I used to epoxy fiber mesh to that area to beef it up some.

CamplinP I have the box and 11 photos of one off Ebay which looks just like the box color wise. I thought someone said awhile ago that they had the color or the color formula for the body. I haven't found it yet. I even emailed AE
and they have no record or any info on it. Since the RC10 gold tub is a big part of their history I thought they would have the info but they didn't. Now I would have thought to use colors of orange, yellow and white. Not red. So this would really be hit and miss for me!
Thanks!

OK. Right for the primary colors. I was meaning to have those colors to mix to come up to get the correct orange. You may not need any red depending on your orange color.
I would bet that no one at AE recorded what colors they used. Someone just painted up the body and photographed it.
I have seen a couple of box art reproductions on this site. If you could find one of those and PM the builder I am sure they would help.

Try posting in the "paint shop". I think they just used your basic colors with no custom mixing. Try posting in "if you could ask gene husting a Question".
