I was cutting a piece of scrap CF with my Dremel for about 30-60 seconds, before I realized and put on a mask. I was cutting for 5 minutes or so after I put on the mask, then I wore it for another 10+ minutes. I was in my Store (Med sized mobile home. kitchen/living room area). I was out there another 45 minutes.

Is it dangerous? Would have been a BETTER question BEFORE I did this, huh? If so, how is dangerous? It didnt smell like it would be "good for you".

Hmmm

Hmm. Just from my point of view. Don't sweat it.

But of course that's the view of a guy that know's sooner or later he's going to die. I just hope I die before I go blind from welding. I already see big changes in my vision from welding. Scary stuff.

Im alive

take it from a 34 year old who over the years has been around enough crappy air to develop Silicosis/Fibrosis in his lungs, wear a mask...

Wow

I've cut hours and hours of CF and have never worn a mask.
But I don't smoke.
But I do drive on the roads.

i'm sure carbon fiber dust in your lungs is not really that good.

for real, tiny little particles of silicon can be in your lungs for years before symptoms show up and the scar tissue develops. carbon fiber is way fouler imo than the masonry dust that i was around that most likely contributed to my stuff.

i just found out the whole scar tissue in the lungs thing a couple weeks ago. i still have a bunch more darn tests and doctors to go to. its a real big bummer to get old and begin to realize your mortality...
