What's the difference between the lethal weapon trans ment for the rc10 and one ment for the ultima. Will they interchange. Also do you guys think it would handle modern brushless power with 3s lipo or am I waisting my time.

I actually think they are the same thing. The LW tranny has several different mounting holes on the bottom and will require the drilling of a couple more for installation. I have the Ultima version and the instructions have mounting info for multiple different cars.

I thought that somewhere I read something about the outdrives being different.

yes the outdrives are different.
rc10 outdrives #210 and #220
ultima outdrives #211 and #221
