RIT color remover

tonight's only my second time using it, but the rit color remover stuff actually works pretty damn good. REALLY good on white rpm.

it stinks like a mix of sulfur & urine steam, box says dont breath it...

white rpm it brightens up a noticable amount in about an hour. it might brighten them up more if i put them back in for awhile longer and bring it up to boil a few more times. but just after a 10 minute boil and left to cool for like 20-40 minutes the rpm parts are much brighter than they were. waaay beyond my expectations...

on stock ae plastic its not as effective, but it still brightens it up. and its more effective on the plastic used in ae's bulkheads and arms than the plastic the tranny case is made of. i've done the 'long soak' in bleach and softscrub method and this works just about the same on stock ae plastic. i dunno why, but you just cant really do much for a stained/aged stealth case. :( :(

Come on admit it that it doesn't work, you just want us to stink up our houses with the great smell of urine

did you try it on some colored pieces?

i have a yellow stealth tranny i could try it on. i dunno if it would work. i'll try to remember to do that before bed and let it soak overnight.

the first time i used it was on a bunch of white plastic i let sit for a day or two in some super clean with a bunch of black parts. some of the black dye or maybe the pigment from the cleaner got into the white parts and stained them. the color remover got that out.

dont get me wrong, i aint sayin it will make the ugliest white rpm arm minty white... but it does bring 'em up a shade or two.

i boiled some water, threw the parts and remover stuff in and that was it.

didnt do much for the stealth tranny case, but all the other ae plastic it brightened up.
