RC-10 Box Labels

Here's something I noticed today while digging, different labels on the ends of a couple RC-10 boxes. I am used to seeing the printed label on the ends of the boxes, but I have one (maybe more) that the information is actually printed (stamped) directly onto the end of the box. Does this represent any particular timeline in the RC-10's history?

Thanks, Tom

Info ink stamped onto the box side is 1984-85, early RC10 production at the Edinger address.

That is exactly what I wanted to know.

Thanks! Tom

I spy a sealed Jrx2 8)

I have variation on the theme where my box has a stuck-on label - but the label itself is stamped rather than printed :)

Man, thanks for the link. I went and checked and I have a pretty early one. Check out the rear shock cups! The tires do have the Goodyear writing on them, no letter stamp on the chassis, grooved pistons, clear gear cover, diamond wing buttons, etc. etc. :D. Good thing I asked!

Is there another forum that you go by as pancartom?

Nope, she'll stay in the box for now. I'm thinking I have struck gold also! The only problem is that some of the bags in the kit have been opened, hopefully nothing is missing. I am missing the paperwork from the box though. I'll have to dig through to see if I have put them anywhere else. That link to slotcarrod's post dealing with identifying the kits is FANTASTIC!

The other box in the pictures is also an Edinger box with the ORRCA wording on the box, but it is only an empty box that I used to store misc. parts. Good thing I kept it, too bad the car isn't there anymore.

Nope, not me. But I am on Ebay, hobbytalk, and RCTech all as "pancar" and RCGroups as nmot (my name spelled backwards, Tom N.). I have seen a pancartom on hobbytalk IIRC.

I owe a BIG THANKS to Doug (Eau Rogue) and JYM (RC10World) here on the forum for pointing me in the right direction for the vintage stuff. I knew I had some good stuff, but couldn't find the right outlet to share them. Thanks guys!

Tom
