I need some info on XXX-S, I have a almost new RTR version. Need to replace the belt and rebuild the diffs.
This is my first on-road car.
- I am looking for a good standard set up to start from. (Shock oil / springs /shock position) ...
- Any suggestions on a new belt ( xxx-4? Long belt? Color? ) spur gear?
- Wheels and tires, for street and carpet.

Any info would be great, thanks. :)

Raced my Losi for two seasons in RCGT class at my LHS. Been a while so I will dig up my notes.

I'll post what I remember for now: RCGT is a spec class that requires 17.5 brushless or brushed stock motor and HPI X-pattern tires and two door bodies. I ran both the black belt and yellow and did not feel any difference, but the yellow lasted longer. The manual recommends 80wt. oil but that must be for carpet I ran 40 or 45 depending on what I had on hand. As for springs settled on silver rears (came stock with car) and blue fronts but this was my preference for a nice controlled push. Other XXX-S guys preferred to add lots of steering to this chassis to the point where some had stiff springs in back soft in front just the opposite of me so go figure. Shocks went back and forth between the two middle holes in the towers as I experimented with grip and track conditions and these were the only tuning changes i ever made. Never ran sway bars on the parking lot. Ride height was 6mm front 5mm rear. Don't look too closely at the photo of the chassis because that was the goodbye shot before retirement with a spare set of wheels/tires.

I think it looks good arf. I got mine set already but need a new body and would like some new wheels. I may not keep it because i don't have any time to run it. So, for the moment it is stock. i will post some pics soon.
thanks for the reply. :)
