What's with using 32 pitch gears? I would think you would stash those back, and get some 48's for your runners.
If there's something I'm missing, please tell me.

Sometimes you just gotta run watcha got or maybe people like running their cars with original parts. Its all good though, I use 48 pitch gears in all of my runners since they are more available and are a little smoother than 32 pitch gears.

Awesome for your 1/12th car! Wasn't the supplied RC10 gear 52T?
Also, beware of Tower's pictures... I ordered some 81T 48P spurs (the "Associated" kind
without diff ball holes), they are now using repackaged Kimbrough gears.
Ordered:

Yeah, they'll work, but it was for a restoration not a runner.
I also ordered some of those 32P gears
a few years ago, they were still in the old old Edinger packaging.

I have no idea what the stock gear was. I know what you mean about tower though. I bought the green screws for my stock and they sent me blue

Yeah, the 4-40 x 1" alloy screws they show as silver (RC10 Worlds Car transmission) are now blue also...
