Acerpower's RC10T runner

my old 10t almost done and never run

it sat idle for 15 years in my parrents basement.i rebuilt everything but the shocks and dyed it all black and blue(i appologize to any purists)
still need a pinion and esc to run it.more to come when i have spare cash.
maybe brushless?

sorry for the lame paint job. this thing is begging for some stickers.
hopefully i'll find the original decal sheet at my mom's house.

Nice truck. The rc10t makes a great runner, but it is brand new............. and parts are getting harder to get if anything breaks, but maybe you have extras? If you really are gonna run it, I suggest getting an RPM front bumper for it. To me, it is the best upgrade in protecting the front end of your truck:

Cool truck, ease up on the springs though. The rear arms should sit about level, and the fronts, just slightly above level, when fully loaded. (meaning with all radio gear, battery, and motor)

Not trying to pick on you, but when the springs bulge, it's time to loosen up. :D

Nothing wrong with the paint job either. Nice and simple. :D

As much as I hate to plug RPM, I second the RPM front bumper as mentioned. It is a good unit.

thanks for the compliments. i'll ease up on the springs, actually the back shocks have no oil in them and the front ones leaked most of the oil out.
i'll buy a shock rebuild kit from tower and some rpm arms and whatever other spare parts i might break when i get a chance.maybe i'll get the bumper or make one from some 1/8" lexan i have so i can use when i'm driving.
i'm not going to bash it much i just want to have a little fun with it.
i thought most of the gt parts and some of the t2 parts fit, maybe i was misinformed.i'm not worried too much about keeping it original so maybe i'll get whatever after market rpm i can find and put away the stock stuff just incase.
i dont know too much about the rc hobby, although i ran a few cars as a kid(a koyosho big brute and a tamiya wild willy)i never raced or tinkered too much with suspention or handling.so any advice is welcome and apreciated.
by the way, i still have the 1st gen wild willy but it was modified some years ago. i never thought it would be so collectable.i'm getting it in running order,but this one will sit on the shelf for show.

I gotcha now. Yeah, the GT and T2 parts will work perfectly. I myself have a 10t runner with just about all GT or T2 parts on it and saved as many original parts as possible.

i decided i wanted to spice up the paintjob so i used some brake fluid and stripped the old paintImage Image Image
this time i used metalic blue.still not too fancy but, i like it more.[/img]

nice truck dude.

you can boil your stock arms to give them a little more flex before breaking. on my basher gt i have boiled stock arms and havent broke one yet.

definitely get the rpm mini bumper, it will greatly reduce the chance of tweaking the front kickup.

i say brushless and lipo.

all the parts were simmered in rit dye, i'm not shure if thats the same as boiling them.i'd like to get a mamba brushless and some lipos but its a little out of my price range right now, plus i'll have to buy a new charger.
first i'll get the rpm bumper and a few more rpm parts, then some cvd's.
i figure i should make it stronger before i make it faster.

my 5700kv sidewinder came in the mail today.

i re-built the stealth and bought an extra set of gears.hopefully the old stealth should hold out, i'm not so sure about the slipper either.
i haven't had a chance to run it yet.maybe tomorrow.

the pita part about the rpm tranny is that you cant do the b4 topshaft and slipper swap with it like you can with a normal stealth.

will the t2 or t3 slipper fit on the rpm top shaft?
i'd like to rpm transmission but i'd like a slipper with a little more surface area.i'm not even sure if the t2 or t3 slipper is much better.

The T3 slipper is a direct fit.

20%? larger area and the pad is captured around the outer periphery. At least the pad won't squirm out.
