May I know what the measurement of the Rustler shocks, the length from eyelet to eyelet?

Fronts are 85mm and rears are 115mm.

I saw this 'VXL', is it a special version of Rustler??

Also, are those Rustler shock plastic bodies??

Any info will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The VXL is Traxxas' brushless version of their vehicles.
All the stock Traxxas shocks are plastic bodies as far as I know.

they perform decently for a little while til they wear out then yes they leak. Best bet would be to get yourself a set of traxxas bigbore shocks. if they are for the rustler I think they are XL rear and L front.

The Ultra shocks (plastic) work very well for awhile.I've never really had any issue with them leaking.What I've noticed is that after they've had some hours on them,the inside of the plastic bodies start to wear and the dampening becomes inconsistant.Granted I'm talking about after a full season of usage.Also the chrome shafts that come with them bend fairly easily.But the biggest problem most people seem to have with those shocks is that the caps will pop off after a harsh landing.That can lead to all kinds of problems if dirt gets inside the shock.

I gotta agree with Todd that the big bore shocks are the way to go.A bit more money than the Ultras,but I've had some sets of big bores that were 10+ years old and still worked like brand new. They are hard anodized and teflon coated and also come with hardened ti-nitride shafts which can take a lot more abuse than the chrome shafts.

My nephew has been giving his bandit a hard time and I recently scored a Rustler and the shocks arnt leaking yet.In saying that we only use them for general bashing with no big jumps but I find these thing to perform very well out of the box.Im very impressed with them.
