The "B" stamp chassis had NO scratches and was in mint condition when I build my DS
I have NO idea what I was thinking at the time

Don't feel bad about the DS chassis, adding "lightness" is the creedo Lotus lives by and look at how their 1:1 cars do in the corners  Do you plan a resto for the DS? I think there is hope for it yet, maybe a little racing life too  I think the 1:12 Mercedes touring car body is great, who made it?

I'd really like to restore all my AE cars and I think I have all the parts for the DS in my boxes of goodies
Including some old photos from when I first build and raced it
It even survived a 24 hour Le Mans race

The 1:12 Mercedes touring car (ca1992) was made by Frewer and relabelled with GMracing
here's the wing

Was it 24 hrs or 2.4 hrs? I have never run an R/C endurance race, I don't think I would have what it takes

twenty-four hours  8 teams with 5 drivers and 4-6 mechanics
I build five 24 hour R/C cars between '94 and '01

We had 3 complete DS cars just for parts
And a custom chassis with quick change battery holders
like the oval racers
3 extra complete stealth tranny ..One with quick change Motor mount
30 set of NICD batteries 10 chargers
20-30 set of wheels and tons of foam tyres

As radical as that DS may seem, it looks better than some out there. Well planned out and executed. Nice collection.

Thanks

But I'd still like to find a black or a gold tub with out extra holes
So I could restore my DS
Hmm how about a flat G10 chassis, same shape as the tub ??
like a mix between a TRX-3 and RC10DS
