We all know about the Silver/Blue stock motors that came with RC10's, but I also have these other two motors and was wondering if anyone knew anything about these?
The Silver/Green one has written on it "Associated Competition Off-Road Stock Motor";
The Silver/Blue one has written on it "Associated Stock Motor";
and the old one with the blue endcap to the left has written on it "Associated 05 Modified".
All of them are Edinger address motors, but I can't remember the timeline for the blue endcap "mabuchi 540" looking motor or the green one. If you might think you know, please post up any information.
I figured this would be good to have a post for, so even if the information is not available now, maybe one-day someone might know some information.

I believe the 05 motors were Igarishi motors, don't know any more than that but I think Geoff (Templeofspeed) is knowledgeable about them and probably others as well.
Also they were used in the 1/12th scale RC12e and 12i cars.

al answered the 05 motor.
the silver/blue labeled motor is the one that came in the rc10 buggy kits. my best guess about the silver/green labeled motor is that it's just an optional motor. if it had the cadillac address on it, i could say it was from the championship edition kits.

That Igarashi modified motor appears to have bushings, probably just a normal 35t motor, just balanced/dipped/bitch-slapped with epoxy/lacquer coated winds. The "real" Reedy Igarashi mods had modified timing, really rewound arms (22 turns or possibly less...

), with the end bell screwed in place with tape over the can/end bell and the end bell securing tabs removed.
The Edinger Competition stock was just an Associated labeled non-kit Edinger motor, same as the "05" Yokomo "Eight Minute"/ "05" 3502 1/12 motor. Probably intended for a Fox owner wanting some aftermarket power...

Reviving an old thread here...
I picked up a version of a Team Associated '05' motor with an Edinger sticker that I've never seen before. Doing some research it looks to be an 'Igarashi' version of the standard stock motor but I am just curious where this fits in the timeline of things, if it is early/late, etc. Also all the versions I've seen online seem to have a turquoise/teal end bell versus the black in the example I have.
Anyone have any additional info? If not, I just thought I'd share my find.
