Ok. I've got a 4th ex-sister-in-law (Glad this one is on her way out) and my brother has an actual USA made stratocaster(?) all decked out and he needs to liquidate before she tries to take it with her.

question #1. Sell it on ebay or try to classified ad it?

question #2. Is there somewhere out there that I could try to find like on a forum like this for guitars that would make it easier to get it to someone who could appreciate it?

Question #3. what are some of the things I need to list informationwise that will make it better to understand what it is?

He's gonna get me some pix soon (I hope) and some more info on it. Says its a $1300 guitar the way its set up.

Question #4. I know its hard to do this without info/pix but what do you think he might be getting for something like this?

Question #5.I know its who wants it when its for sale and all that good stuff but would it be worth selling or not gonna get anything for it since you can get overseas strats for cheap now?

I'm pretty much lookin for opinions and not down right set in stone stuff so Please help me keep my ex-sister-in-law from takin more than she deserves

Thanx for any info...
Todd

I know someone who works at Fender. If you PM me the info, I'll pass it on to him to see what he thinks.

If time is of the essence, he should give it away, to you, of course, so that it's not around to be counted in the divorce. From there, it can be sold or given back, whatever the preferred thing is.

Right... x3.
Luckily I've never had to deal with the divorce mentality, so the cunning minds of Halgar & scr8p needed to step in.

I've never been divorced either, but I have seen first hand how a lot of good people (both men and women ) got seriously screwed by the accusing party. While I'm not suggesting anything illegal be perpetrated, I say you gotta protect yourself, and if it doesn't exist at the time of separation, then it doesn't exist to be counted.

i've never been divorced either. but i have seen those cunning ways played out before. and not just little knick knacks. i'm talking real cars, car parts, entire garages full of tools and equipment. there's ways to make stuff go away, in order for the person to get all their stuff back after the divorce is final.

if you have nothing, you wouldn't be getting a divorce........ since you wouldn't have a wife.

Wasn't there a tragic boating accident lately that it went down with?

Thats what happened with all my guns and I don't even have a wife!
