That body reminds me of the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile.

I'm guessing not many at all, if any. That's a fairly Euro thing to do for the narrow chassis cars that are one-offs for high bite tracks.

Interesting work, but for the amount of labor and work involved, and considering that neither look much different from the $12 stock bodies, I don't see a point. Most pop-bottle bodies I have seen are driven by a need to fit over custom (narrow) chassis or things that aren't stock. I give credit to anyone who does them, though, they are a lot of time and work to pull that off well.

the lars soda bodies are 18 gram compared to the 38 gram stocker. so it's much lighter. now i do agree that they take work to make but then again vacuum forming bodies also takes work. soda bodies are cheap to make. that is one reason i'm playing with them. i plan to try to make future bodies more defined like the ones above. but seeing how this isn't really costing me anything it don't hurt to pla around with them.

20 grams difference is .7 of an ounce. Worth it in an off road buggy? Not for my time... ;)

 well my goal is to upgrade myself to a vacuum former down the line but when that day comes i should have my mold ready. depending on how bored i get i may even try to make a mold for an rc10. with how often i have my cars on their lid its nice to know i can just recycle an old 2 liter bottle and have a new body.

as far as time goes. since i have my mold made for my durango body it would take all of 10 minutes to dig out everything to make another.

my biggest issue is this. the body i made in the first post was made with a 2 liter bottle. i stopped by the store last week to pick up a coupe 3 liter bottles only to find out that no local store carries 3 liters now. is this common everywhere or just something local to myself? i haven't been out of town lately to be able to check other places to see if they have them still or not.
