If the lead is Mel, they'll have to call it Mad Max, Beyond the Old Folks Home!

I'm debating whether or not I should keep quiet about this. Mainly because as a big Mad Max fan I don't think it should be made. Image

All the talk over the last number of some odd years said it was going to be called Fury Road. They changed it now?

I think it should be made and should be made with a big ol' yellow Camaro!

The name of a movie can change right through the end of production and even after test screenings, depending on public reaction. I still think "Beyond the Old Folks Home" is better.

My thoughts exactly. CGI is really killing my enjoyment of new movies. I like real fire, real sets, real explosions and rubber masks. I've got a bad feeling this might be made to be a summer blockbuster bore fest. I hope I'm wrong.

Watching The Road Warrior online on Netflix now. This makes me want to buy one of those Tamiya semis and Mad Max it out.

This is one of the reasons on the list of why I don't think it should be made.

See heres my beef with it. Theres no way in my mind its going to be anything short of horrible. Hollywood has no creativity any longer so over the past several years they've been taking movies that had any inclination of popularity from back in the day and are completely ruining them in various ways. Albeit remakes, continuations, prequels, etc...

No matter how hard you try or how much you spend you cannot replicate the feelings, looks, sounds, or acting of 20+ year old movies. A good example was Death Race 2000. Now compare that to the Death Race they made two years ago. If you don't like that example how about what they did to Star Wars?

Basically what I'm getting at is it tears me up inside like you cannot imagine when they decide to go and ruin the names of the originals with this utter crap and I wish it would stop.

This isn't just movies, it's every commercial, and tv show as well. It has gotten to the point that I can't even watch tv anymore it's all so bad. The entertainment industry thinks that all this quick cutting will make up for the lack of acting, scripting, plot, and direction of whatever the crap de jour is. And what is it with the friggin sound tracks? You can't hear the dialog, yet all the FX are ear shattering. I say save your $45 entrance fee and go out and play with your RC's. 8)
