long story short, i got a free b4 with no body. so i ordered a body and it's about 1.5" short.

come to find out that the po put a t4 chassis on it to run dirt oval.

does anyone know if they make a longer buggy body?

i don't really want to change chassis because the po glued the esc/power capacitor and switch to the chassis. (doh!) ad the glue seems pretty damn strong.

JConcepts J82 body. It's made for the T4 chassis and is shaped like a buggy.

thank you sir!

i was just looking again at my buggy, the p.o. epoxy'd the electronics in there. :x

how do you think the longer chassis will effect handleing? i'm going to run it on a local off road track.

anyone need a factory painted b4rs body?

I'm sure someone will come in ad elaborate a little more on this but as for the longer chassis it will be a little less responsive in tight areas but unless you have a really tight track you pry won't really notice it too much. The longer chassis is a little more stable for long straights and high speeds but again unless you are a pro (Which I am not) you pry won't notice it too terrible. I had a t3 chassis/b3 setup which I ran the snot out of and it was great...unless you want a buggy body for it...might have to check out that body mentioned above

thanks klavy. i went ahead and ordered the j-concepts body for it.

this car started out it's life as a factory team b4, so i want to keep it a buggy.

Just get a new B4 chassis 22.50 at Tower, your lhs should have it for about $25.00! http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXDZY6&P=7

ASC9560 B4 cassis composite (The composite is better!)

The longer T4 chassis will make your buggy turn like a pig in mud... Slowly!

It all really just depends on what you plan to do with your B4. If you plan to race it, get the plastic chassis (better traction than FT carbon chassis). If your just going to bash it, through whatever body you think looks cool on it and have fun!!!

The B4 is a great car but, you really have to look at your setup and weight distrobution (adding weight ft or bk, maybee both) to get the most out of it. I personally run about an ounce of weight in the back and about 1/2 OZ up front on the Al bulkhead. I also run Lipo and normally a 7.5 or 8.5 motor depending on the track.

i'd love to swap the chassis out, but the previous owner epoxied the electronics to the chassis.

thanks for the help guys, the jconcepts body just showed up. i'm going to run the car as is for now. if it's really that bad i'll have to figure something out.

well i finally got a chance to race this car this past saturday.

all i can say is I LOVE THE B4! what a car man. i haven't raced in 17 years and with the factory team set up i qualified 3rd in the amain and then won it by a lap.
granted i was lumped into sportsman class because everyone was running sc trucks so i raced with a pretty funny field of cars, all of which had tons more power than my 17.5 novak ss. but the b4 was super smooth, SLOW IS FAST ! i was very under geared too 24/78. lol it was 100 out and my motoer temps were 105

from my first practice lap to the main i was consistantly getting faster and smoother. it was such a joy to drive. i had the only b4 there that day, most of the people there are running slashes/ruslters/bandits/emaxx's/etc.... they all kept asking why my car was so quiet. my answer, because it's associated, they don't call it the stealth for nothing. lol there was a kid there with a t4, but he was too fast and eager so he crashed alot.

i can't wait to get back to the track. i forgot how much fun racing is!

now if i could just get some more buggies to show up i'd be all set.

thanks, yes that's the t4 chassis.

it handled very well, a little bit of a push but not as bad as i thought it would be.
