My DS with hop ups

Well this is my DS. I bought the conversion kit when it first came out and just love running it. I did the wheel/tire conversion so I could mess up easier to find tires as my original set of tires was too soft and the back up set is showing wear as well. (Could someone point me in the right direction for tracking down the Prolines? Thanks.)

With the exception of the batteries and the wheel conversion, everything is vintage mid '90's and still fun to drive.

That came with the world's car I think. I bought it used on consignment from the hobby shop for $50 when the B2's started coming out. I knew at the time that I didn't want to convert my gold pan car, but I still liked running it up and down the street. So he set me up with road tires (I think for rc10t) and used the chassis and other parts from the world's car for the DS conversion.

Here's a pic before the wheel conversion with my Mercedes body.

What are the street tires on the rc10 and the Porsche?

The DS has HPI tires and the rc10 has proline road hawgs.
I found an old set up sheet with a list of the hop ups I put into this car:

Associated's graphite A arms front and rear.
Carbon fiber front shock tower.
Blue screw set
Lunsford Ti hinge pin and turnbuckle set as well as Ti shock mount sets.
Robinson Ti pivot balls.
Racer's Edge Al heat sink motor spacers (goes between the stealth and the motor plate).
MIP BB steering kit, shiny cvd's and Lite out drives.
Hg Ti top shaft and diff. gear.

For some reason I never got the green shocks from the racer kit. I never used the original springs that came with the kit, but used gold and silver springs from the front of the rc10 for it. I also might have replaced the idler gear in the transmission but I can't remember if I actually did it or just thought about doing it.

I beleive the Porsche body is made by Frewer. It looks like the 190mm Porsche 911 Turbo pt. No. FR2N.

Very nice car. 8)

Can you explain the wheel conversion? Is there a how-to for it anywhere? Thanks. :D

Ya that's a Frewer body. Can those still be had in the US?

On that conversion: I drilled and filed by hand which took longer but worked well for me. I'm not sure what I think of the kingpin ball stud mounts. I think the suspension would benefit from a higher mounting point on the shock tower for this set up. Any opinions?

Is that body 190mm? I have read, the DS measures out @ 203mm when using zero offset touring car wheels/tires.
