Saw a few posts on Hotshot/supershots here. I have a hotshot and wanna get it to run 2.2 wheels. The width of DF03 looks great to me.

If i wanna achieve the width of DF03, any idea what kind of width should I use for the 12mm hex wheel adapter??

Also, any idea what the is wheelbase measurement of DF03? Same as the hotshot?

Any suggestion will be appreciated

Wheelbase of the Hotshot is 262mm and the DF03 is 272mm. The regular widths are a bit different though. 235mm for the Hotshot and 250mm for the DF-03 (figures from tamiya and tamiyaclub).

Just using some hexes will give you a similar width unless you used some longer axles but that may create other issues. The re-re frog has regular dogbones and there is a hex kit available for that which is longer but I'm not sure how compatible those axles would be..... plus its not a cheap conversion.

You could custom build some parts for the extra width, you would need longer dogbones to do that as well but anything is possible.

have you tried 2.2s on the Hotshot already, if so how does it look?
