I decided to build a vintage runner (it's not the first time I attempt to make a real runner, all other projects were finally too nice to be ridden,
this one will for sure see the track )
with some parts I had left, here's what I came up with.
I just need to put a receiver and a battery and that thing will ride like none, I'm really anxious to see it perform on the track next sunday

Man, those look identical to the original Losi stagger block from the JRX2. I wonder which came first?
I'm pretty sure Losi were the first to produce them, amazing tires on most surfaces, now problematic to use because Schumacher still didn't make the same to fit the new larger front wheels...

schumacher still makes thoes stagger rib front tires. U6592 Stagger Rib - Yellow they almost discontinued them until our club sent in a petition of about 100 names to gaurentee them future sales. they tell us that we are the only ones that still buy them so they will continue to make them. my local track is a polished concrete oval inside an indoor archery range and that is the only tire that hooks up on it. oh yea i forgot to mention we run them on the front and the rear. they have unbelievable grip even when they are almost bald they also work on polished wood floors.
When I was running my original gold tub, a friend of mine had a HOUGE? Trailing arm chassis for the RC10.
I found the trailing arm back in the day to be great.. it really soaked up little bumps and did not re-act so quickly to harse ruts as the force seemed to be absorbed inline with the direction of the car movement so it would not KICK up the rear end..
GREAT looking ride, and yes I would love to hear how it works.
I am new to the forum and have not yet figured out how the search works so I am reaching out to the crowd. Tried to filter by tires but says the topic is too broad.
Any case, I am in the final stages of a resto and need tires. With that said I...

I've never seen 8th scale onroad in person but it looks completely badass...even from wayback when that video was made. I can only imagine how fast the new 8th scale onroad cars are. Too bad there are no onroad tracks anywhere near me.
Well, I swore I wouldn’t start a new off topic subject tonight, but here I am… I’ve written numerous emails to editors of various r/c mags over the past 5 years asking them to please write a definitive book about the origin/history of r/c. I mean...

Got this from a good mate. It started life as a Ferrari on road racer. A Optima Mid Custom chassis that Kyosho slapped on a nice shell with the cool 5 spoke star chrome wheels. My mate converted it to...

Spent the last couple days on this now.
I installed a new digital servo, Brushless speedie with a 8.5 sensored motor.
The gearing is around the right mark. The platinum shocks aren't that good and too stiff . The rear springs are modded Losi...

At first everyone who gets into RC wants to duplicate the box art. Then as with all things, people learn more about their hobby and want to take it up a notch. So the get a Custom hand painted body to show off at the track and to their racing...
