I got some shocks from Don (THANKS DON) I didn't have any cleaner, went to the garage found some A/C condenser cleaner, what the heck it's cleaner right

heck no got a plastic container put the blue stuff in it ,closed it up,started lunch! about 5 mins later "BOOM" blew the top off the plasic jar, turned the shocks black ,ate the ano off .I tossed them in a jug of water still fizzing, made my hands feel like they had oil on them, but man are they WHITE. so I guess I'll not use the cleaner again. anyone know what that stuff was? No lunch for me. WHAT A MESS!

Shoulda disassembled the bottom seals out and used easy off to get them cleaned and stripped then polish and reassembled lol.You got a chemical reaction and no space in jar for the gases to escape.lol Did you lose your lunch?

Even though there white use easy off till you get a consistent texture you like on the bodies. My chassis i stripped kinda turned white but i reapplied the easy off came out nice.Don

Here's an idea... don't use chemicals that you have no idea what they are or what they can do.

I can tell you from when I was a kid that carburetor cleaner will kill a black widow and disintegrate styrofoam.
