You don't see a wet spot in front either

Best part is that he calmly picks the camera up right after it hits... happens all the time.
When I used to shoot action or cover races for the magazine I had to learn to shoot with my other eye open.. between 1/8 buggies whizzing past your head and your face gets tired of scrunching all day taking pics.

Are you not on the good side of the pond now? All the scum tends to drift East!

That dude looked pretty relaxed after being that close to getting ran over.

Sometimes I don't think photographers realize the danger they are close to, or even recognize how close they are to the action. I shot this last July, and though I was behind a concrete barrier, the end result of this "off" was that the car rolled to a stop about 10 feet from where I was standing, pointed right at me. I never took my index finger off of the trigger and have the entire sequence of shots of the entire overshoot of T5 at Road America.
After the whole thing happened, I thought, "eh, wasn't THAT close." LOL.
It was.

Must have been using a Nikon.
This is why I like shooting weddings...although I was almost run over by a drunken fat girl at a reception once.
