What are you planning to race at the 2010 Vintage Off Road Nationals? Here's what I've got.
A vintage Clodbuster for the heavy metal class. Taking the name of the class literally, this is an all metal Clodbuster. Sassy Chassis, JPS gear boxes, Sees wheels, Bennet front end, AE shocks, some nice soft Kyosho USA-1 tires, Novak Super Rooster, Hitec servo and for the moment some old silver cans. I feel sorry for anyone who gets sideways at the wrong time in front of this truck.
This is not a fast truck, but it handles very well. I'm waiting to hear the final decision on motor rules for this class, so the old silver cans stay for now.
Next, I converted my Buggy Champ into a Sand Scorcher for the Entry Level class. This body is a Mr Lexan baja bug. This little bug is a rocket ship with the silver can in it, I couldn't believe it. I was thinking of getting it a Sport Tuned motor, but no way I'm doing that now. I plan to put a ball diff in, hopefully that will make it a little easier to control. This car is definitely going to be a handful out on the track, it's bad enough on the sidewalk. It's a total blast to drive though.
