Hot Trick towers question...

Hey all,

Anyone know exactly what the Hot Trick shock towers were used for? What I mean is, were they ment for oval cars, or just as
replacements to the original towers. I know they lower the car a bit (which would indicate oval), and the rear has the motor plug hole,
and their that pretty red color :D , but thats about it.

I'm putting mine on a graphite chassis car I'm building from various parts, and I was just curious if anyone had some insight into this, or a pic
of them NIP to see what the description says on the package, cause its been sooo long I can't remember why I bought
them 20 yrs ago (r/c amnesia after being out of the hobby for so long I guess ).

Thanks guys!

No idea, but I just bought a pair a few months ago on ebay for my son's gold pan runner build. It was just because they looked cool and were red. :)

Maybe this will help,a pretty complete listing of hot trick stuff. http://www.rcchopshop.com/hottrick/thehottrickstuffpartslist.html I remember these cars when they came out and they were flashy ,but I never liked the chassis flex. It acted like a 5th shock absorber! lol

I believe there are Hot Trick shock towers that did not lower an RC10 - i.e. just replacements for the stock items. They had more shock mounting position options, etc.

I am actually interested to buy a Hot Trick rear tower for one of my gold pans... Anyone looking to sell a nice example???

LTO Dave.....Could you try and post that first Hot Trick pic again of the standard HT rear tower, it didn't come thru...

Thanks

PS Those oval towers are definately not the ones I have, mine are much more similar to the stock towers, but the upper shock
mount holes are a bit lower than the stock positions and furthur inward, and there are 2 hole positions on top of one another and
a motor plug holder cutout under the left side shock mounting position.
