RC10 Team Car - first time ever on a track

After sitting in a box for about 18 years, I recently got inspired to ressurect my Team Car.
Thanks to the posts here, I did the B4 slipper upgrade, the traxxas ball bearing steering upgrade, found some 2.2" wheels and put some new tyres on and then took it to the local track. This is the first time I've ever driven on a proper track and it was certainly different to the bashing that I'm used to! The track itself was dry and dusty but the surrounding grassed areas were quite wet with some puddles around the sides of the track as well - not very forgiving of going off the track :)

After 15 minutes (not even one battery!) I'd broken the right hand steering hub (I assume from a bad landing) and had to put the 10 aside (which did give me reason to give my new RC8Be its first drive).

New parts are on their way so I can get back out and do it all again :D

Thanks RC10Talk, it was an absolute blast!

Here she is after the day at the track (with my original shell and the new wheels/tyres):

Excellent! Thats how an RC10 should look!!

By the way - I always think its much more fun driving a competition buggy on a track, its far more challenging than just bombing a car like the RC10 about in a car park or playing field. For fun running/bashing I'd rather drive something that doesn't handle very well like my Clodbuster :D

Surprising how it could still steer quite well even though that right hand front wheel was swinging in the breeze!

They're the JC Racing ones mentioned here http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=8848
He has them listed on e-bay or you can email him direct - about the same price either way.
Direct bolt on for my Team Car.
