I bought some replacement rear belts for my Procat from www.sdp-si.com

part No. A 6B16M071060

These are the same pitch (MXL) and nearly the same number of teeth (71 instead of 72) but a little wider (6mm instead of 5mm) and made in urethane with kevlar reinforcement. The tooth profile also looks a little different (new ones are grey). They only cost $3.34 for a pair.

Do you think these will be better, like the BRP orange front belt is better than the kit rubber belt?

Some good things were said about the orange Bud's belt here...

The tooth profile looks more trapezoidal on the new ones... but it also looks like this on the BRP orange belt. Wondering whether I should fit 'em or not?

They are good quality. I purchased some a few months back which fit the SWB. They were exactly the same as the original SWB belts except that they were 0.5mm wider, which is no bad thing and has no impact on their fitment.

Bugger... the 71 tooth belts I have are too tight. 1 tooth does make a difference... at least with the pro-diff and eccentrics I've got.

I remember running the old TopCat/Cougar belts in my ProCat back in the day cos they were wider. Can't remember by how much but noticeably so. I'd say width makes no difference. Length however... :(
