I picked this up from RCtech for $60. Do you think it was a good deal? After thinking about it I kinda doubt I'll ever find the battery cover or the front brace so I may just stick it all on a tub.

I'm still not sure what I want to do with it. I'd like to keep the RPM chassis. I've been looking at pictures of other Rc10s with the RPM chassis and it looks like I might be able to make the front braces out of fiberglass or graphite. As far as the battery box, I dont know yet.

Just make a battery hold down out of carbon fiber or fiberglass, all you have to do is make it big enough to serve as an ESC shelf and dremel in some square holes for the hold down clips. As for the front brace, see if you can get a scan of it, I'm sure you could fab up something that would work for that as well.

I got the buggy in today. Overall its in pretty good shape. Ive read some people on here are whitening rc10 parts with hydrogen peroxide. Will that work on white RPM parts as well? Wheres a good place to get an anodized screw set? Finally, if you have one of these can you post some pics of it? I'm trying to get a good look as to how the front braces are mounted.

Do NOT use peroxide on RPM parts! It does the opposite effect. It makes them a dark yellowish-brown instead of white.

Yup, I was lucky enough to grab the very last remnants of these chassies directly from RPM, Richard Royal (RPM's boss)even signed my chassy. I must still have a bunch of new rear black motor guards too. We need better pics of your car!

I remember those chassis!!! Great find! Back in the day at the place I use to race dirt oval, a few guys bought these chassis to race with. Don't remember them doing all that well? One guy dyed the whole thing pink...

Very cool piece of RC10 history!
