My XXCR KE restoration

I won this car on ebay a few months ago for a good price. It was really pretty nice, just needed a good cleaning and a few smal pieces to bring it up to snuff. I believe the only part I'm short is a battery strap. I just happened to have a set of brand new stock wheels complete with clear disks I'd bought in an lhs bargain bin several months ago. The tires that came with the car will be mounted for now, until I find new rubber. Rick (bearrickster) kindly supplied me with the Trinity suspension block and transmission brace that I will incorporate into this build. The blue motor plate is in pretty nice shape, no scrathes at all, just a few places where the anosizing was rubbed through. The body is very nice indeed and the paint job is well beyond my abilities. The chassis plate is pretty clean with only minimal wear. I'll supply a new wing from my inventory. Here are the ebay pics and my starting point with most everything cleaned up.

Nice score!, you can't beat a XX - and the Kinwald is the king of them all! Its a bonus that the motor it pretty much un-touched & I guess indicates that this buggy has had very little use? Cool paint job too 8)

Well...maybe. I tend to get sidetracked on most of my cars before I reach that stage.

Very nice score! Looks like a few nice trinity parts to go with it. Would be a nice runner or queen.

Side tracked as in this car has made almost zero progress since the last photo! I put the front suspension together, got held up til I got some of those pesky little bearings in the steering from Avid and then came to a stand still. Maybe this weekend I'll have time... :?
