Hey guys, I am in no way knowledgeable when it comes to the YZ10 based cars, only the YRX on-road chassis. I am looking to mount a set of YZ10 wheels to one of my project buggies. Now I would like to know for all the wheels that bolt on to the rear (besides the old yokomo) are there any differences (offset, OD etc.) I know the styles have changed, be it material, or the addition of re-inforcing ribs. Also I see that a seller on ebay uk is selling replacements (seller ID JC ? ) Do any of you have any experience with his wheels?

I have bought 3 sets of his wheels for the rc10. I am very happy with the product.

From what I have read here, and conversations in a few different builds on this exact subject, the wheels from that seller will fit and have the right offset for the YZ-10, but not the 870c.

Spoked. I like the spoked look.

For the 870c, there aren't too may options. There are different versions of the dish wheels, but not too many spoked wheels. I remember I really liked the 2.2 6 spoke wheels made by Peak.

I also like the proline wheels which come in wide and narrow sizes. I've used these on my last 3 (and current) yokomo builds. These are 2.0 wheels.

the jcrc wheels fit well on the yz10, but they are slightly narrower for one set(f or r, can't remember).....let me post a link to my thread.....i gotta find it.....not the one I was thinking of, becuase I remember talking with Scr8p about it, but....close enough:

I bought a set of the solid wheels from JC. They are a good product. The fronts narrow the track very slightly with the deeper offset, but the rears are worse. Track width difference from front to rear is about 1/4" with them mounted. Not bad, but it is there. I plan on making a couple of spacers for the rear of mine to bring it out to at least the width of the front.

Jc wheels have been around for a long time and are very good wheels.

they yokomo wheels have the correct offset but remember that the yokomo works91/93 yz10 and pavidis have the same offset even the MX4 have the same offset but uses 3 screws instead of four.

The 870 uses a different offset then the above and therefor the result will be there after.

I have been using the JC spoked rims on my vintage schueys for years. The yoke rims are great but as mentioned the offset is going to be the problem with the rim landing to close to the centre of the car for the original 870c.

Im running the JC rims on my yoke but am sporting 91model suspension arms, hubs and driveshafts. These items are wider than the 89' items.

So, now to ask, when running the Yokomo adapters with JC's YZ Wheel's on lets say an RC10 does the offest affect the rear track then as well, or do the adapters possibly make up for any difference? I know they more than likely it would still mean a narrow rear track.

Im not sure what the offset is like when fitted to the yoke-RC10 alloy adapters. Someone here should know the answer to this one.

It all depends on what your adapters were made to use with: the 870C rims with their larger offset, or the later works' models rims with less offset.
Unfrotunately , this probably won't be mentioned on the headercard.

i think the rc10 uses 870 offset wheels...

if the adapters are for 870c wheels, then the JC wheels will make a narrow width.

So the YZ adapters with YZ / Works wheels would track correctly then?
