Cool, I might be able to attend the "challenge". Do you mind if I raise a few points? Why a 540SD and 4 min race? I do not think we are going to be 80. No weight restrictions?

Anyway, very good initiative ! 8)

Cheers.

The RS540 Sport Tuned delivers more power then stockers but still wont destroy the transmission in some vintage cars

You can send me a email or PM :D

This is the first time we are trying something like this, the 540SD is the motor of choice because it is faster then "stockers" in some kits but still wont destroy some kits ... this race is not limited to RC10's  We will run the 4 minute qual. & mains ... if this is to short then we can extend this time. For the first time we want to keep the rules simple, but if we get enough racers to contuniue this challenge, then we will add a spec battery rule ........ I see no problem on weight restrictions .... but remember, our goal is to have FUN

Long time no post. Good to see new and old faces alike.

To make a long story short, I have not been in jail. I finally purchased 3000 nimh batteries, charged with old Tekin chargers and having been running my cars like mad.

I happen upon this track and meet Greg. I tell him I run old RC10s and he suggests a vintage race. Next thing you know my 23 year old car has a class to run in. Needless to say I'm real excited about running next Sunday. You've seen the entry in old posts... here it is again. I'll post a pic of the newly painted race-ready body soon.

Greg, thanks for making room for the old school runners! If anyone is considering this race, I can tell you the people and tracks are top-notch!

'Ssup guys, 8)

I was speaking in relation to the Japanese guys at Yatabe Arena "racing" their old toys for a while now. Bring your cars setup as you like them and have fun. Everyone understand well winning is pointless and especially me since I su** with pistols radios.

I still have "some" (a lot of) work to be done on my runners. Anyway, I will try to come with a car or with my camera...

Peace.

3 runners...

We'll try to fix that next year if we are still in FL, Northy. There is enough room at home.

Greg, my trick for the pics. Give your wife your CC and drive her to the mall. They're gonna be expensive !

I'll try to make some better ones too.
