Besty and Bormac's vintage buggy run.

It's been a while since we've been track side so we figured it was due time for a run and with Besty's son Dylan recently receiving his first 'real' r/c car for his birthday it was high time we gave him some time away from back yard bashing and a chance to put a few laps on his new ride.

Matt (Chris's good mate) also joined us and we had all pre-arranged to bring a Tamiya FROG to run for a few laughs.

The venue was Castle Hill/Sydney and the weather was nice enough for a few hours of running. I managed to snap a few pics along the way so you'll see below.

Dylan managed a good run with his revamped Baja Champ sporting a 13T brushless Hobby Wing unit, Spektrum radio and Lipo batteries. Possibly a little too fast for him but guaranteed to put a smile on the face of the little man  . Sadly the drive ended with a loud bang as the Baja Cjamp came hurtling down the straight and into a fence. A cracked main chassis put the brakes on his ride but Im sure with a few parts he'll be up and going again.

The Frog's were fun. Not a real lot of speed from a silver can motor but they all managed to get around over a few laughs.

It was good to have a run again. Thanks for reading.

So you guys ran NINE vintage cars? That's a lot of clean up! It's cool to see these cars with mud on them - reminds me what they're for!

Yeah, It was a lot of fun.
Dylan was a bit cut up about his crash but he got over it pretty quick.
I will post up some pics tonight.
It is really cool to see all the old cars tearing up the track and the Frog run was tops. I never had one as a kid so it is cool to see a few of them tearing up (lol) the track. More like bouncing around the track and doing 180s at each corner. Frog tyres arent much good on hard surfaces. :D

Outstanding picutres, thanks! I wish we had as great a place to run. Our track is indoors since it rains so much.

Yes its a good track. It is about an hours drive though so we dont get there as much as we would like.
Looks like they are doing a few changes there at the moment.
I would love to go to a full size indoor track some day. That would be cool.
Apparentley we will be getting a new outdoor track about 20mins away from my place.
But we will see.
Good news is that Dylans ride cost $24 to fix. I am going to refit a sports tuned for a while
