The 201X is super B4 as well, I was really dissapointed in that "design" as well-
Shumacher's new cars are at least refreshing ( as is the Durango)

I reserve my opinion for any of my Chinese friends, but why would you expect anything different? And who at Durango really has the lack of sense to talk about copywright laws? That has nothing to do with the clone, and even most patents ( which don't apply to idea's ) will not be upheld in China-
Too bad though-imitation is the sincerest form of flattery though

As i have spoke to the owner whom Durango is having a cased filed with, he said that Durango has asked them not to sell the product in thier country. Which i dought will happen as people are out for a good price will definately get them and as ive seen the "copy" , Men they are exactly the same thing as the original ( no engraving and the laser etch marks on the shaft etc....) hell even kick the hell out of those using the Orig ones. But hey, we will never know if the parts is as strong as they claim them to be. Maybe buy the parts from Durango then i think it would be the same as the orig.

As far as I know, Durango AE Losi etc has no grounds to stop them unless they hold a manufacture patent anyway- unless they call it a Durango they are clear to do whatever they wish-

in all reality, with the way cars are manufactured today, you would be hard pressed to develop something that looks significantly different than the current state of the art.
all of the plastic pieces have been trimmed to the point that they are merely 'exoskeletons' surrounding such items as differentials; there are only so many ways to mold an H arm, and c hubs and shock towers trimmed to the minimum will all look the same........ How could the cars look any different?
that is why the old stuff is cool....it had character and uniqueness.
all of the new buggies pretty much look the same.....so this 'clone' does not surprise me in the least.......it's also a testament to the efficiency of the current buggy platforms that there is not much to improve upon......

i thought a certain amount of parts had to be different to pass copywrights!! what a hide they have making that buggy

very cheeky.

This company has been ripping the Durango for a while, first it came out as an "älien" branded car - now this.
Looks to be pretty much an exact copy, however I can assure you that the plastics and metals used on this one will be well inferior to the ones used by Durango.
You can have a supreme product made in China - equal to the best anywhere - depends on what you are willing to pay. Durango pay more to have a superior quality of parts...those on the copycat are very different - and thats just in pictures.
Cheers

I myself is leaning towards A410 specs, but have a friend in china that works in durango factory, the dealings there is that you can. You get the same thing(real parts) and they deal just outside the factory. As for the copycats we know now how they get the samples.

.question is, are they good enough and be the same as the orig. As far as the driving and handling is concern, it all really depends on the guy behind the wheel, the setup and the hours spent to setup the car to be race worthy.

I agree that in some ways. but I realy hate D4 from HPI and tamiya's new buggies after AE's
it was really great to see works '93 when it came. it was built with effective and beautiful parts at the same time. the main chassis and the battery plates are light-weighted and got the lines.
I do believe some companies like HPI or Tamiya cannot make a masterpiece like CAT, Predator, Durango DEX410, RC10, Yoke's
I was a fan of kyosho at 80's. but now I hate them after they became a copycat with B2's copy. that was not a bad idea tamiya learned something from B4 and B44. but they could add their own touch at least. and had to
TC3 was not the first vehicle had that effective drive tranny. I saw similar ones at 80's. but they made new style from old ones. then other companies made some after TC3. and now they are doing worse thing on B44.
damn TRF is a dead copy team. they need to change the name into TCF

If you are going to do things this way, at least make it to where all the AE parts would work on the damn thing. At least we would have access to spares.
On a good note, the shocks are definetely better than AE's.

frankly I like the pink wheels on the budget B4 copy. pretty much close to yoke's pink. and want to try them on my old-new rc10.

I don't think the shocks are any better than the V2 shocks AE have just put out.
Also with the copying (sorry, I meant design inspiration!) to my mind they've taken the market leader and said "what can we improve?" AE have gone a way towards that with with the B44.1 & B4.1, but really what Tamiya have done is what we were hoping AE would have done. If they were called B5 & B54 would we be so up in arms?
Lets face it, there's virtually no difference between the front arms, uprights and knuckles on any of the best 4wd cars these days and they are all virtually identical to the ones on the XX4!
