I am doing a body that has some hard to reach places in it . So I might have to paint on the outside of the body. What do you guys recomend. The guy at the hobby shop said he used faskolor topped off with mop&glo floor wax to get the gloss look .

The only time I paint on the outside of Lexan is for dull finishes, like flat black or aluminum trim. If you are absolutely certain you have to paint on the outside (I honestly don't ever think I have had to do anything like that in 26 years), and you are looking for a gloss finish, there is a clear middlecoat made by AutoAir (Createx/Faskolor), and there is also a Faskolor version that you can use as well. It's water-based, and WILL come off if you clean or wash the body. There really is no good solution for this, because Lexan has always been intended to be sprayed from the inside.

If ya just "have" to paint lexan on the putside and want it glossy, just use a cheap automotive clear...like Dynatone or Upol.

I'm not sure if it would work the same on Lexan, but this has automotive clear coat on it. It's much shinier in person than it appears in the photo. Had to dig this one out from the deep as you can tell by the date... Still alive and well though!

I have a little different approach when it comes to painting on the outside. I always trim my windows, stripes and flames from the outside using One Shot lettering enamel. It doesnt last for ever but neither do lexan bodies if you run them. I will post picts up in a few.
