Can't track this pinion gear down, i need it to fit a 280 motor for my old Tamiya QD:

10 teeth (10t)
0.8 module (.8mod, 0.8m)
2mm shaft diameter (bore)

The Tamiya 0.8 module is close to 32dp, but I can't find either with 2mm bore and 10t !!

I scoured google for this one but just cannot find the damn thing, help appreciated!

Don't want you to think that no one is paying attention to you... Just got one of those "I don't know what I have so I'm just going to take a picture and hope it sells" type of lots from ebay yesterday. Had a NIP 10 tooth Tamiya pinion in it but it was for Blackfoot which you can get from Tower so I don't think thats going to work. Just wanted you to know that when I saw that, I double checked your post to be sure.

yeah, i was gonna post the other day....the tamiya qd stuff is sure hard to find...jsourbeck on ebay I think had a QD motor, but I think the pinion was smaller...worth a look though?

if you can find one with a 3mm bore, maybe you can get a small brass sleeve?

Thanks for the help guys Yeah the QD stuff is a bit of an oddity, hard to find some parts, easy to find others.

I did see the blackfoot pinion 10 tooth - right pitch but the bore is too big. Need to go 3mm to 2mm so the brass sleeve might be the way to go.

Doesn't the 380 grasshopper motor have a 10t pinion pressed on it? You could grab one of those, and then try pulling the gear. I'm pretty sure that the 380's have 2mm shafts...

1/18s have a 2mm shaft as well, not sure about the pitch though.

Thanks again, i've decided to get a pinion made/modified rather than buying lots of pinions and trying to match (already spent £10 on pinoins in the wrong pitch)

Found someone who can supply pinions and is willing to bore/fill the pinion holes to requirements.

When I get it confirmed I will let you know, maybe a service that others need?

Just noticed this thread, I have had and still have quite a few QD cars and parts in storage somewhere, snowed in at the moment, did get a lot of gear bags, will have to search them out, what QD is it, I may have a whole car for parts as well.

Cool, thanks! It's a QD Midnight Pumpkin. I'm building 2 at the moment. One for my niece and one as a shelfer, will hopefully post some pics soon. I need the spur gear as mine is torn to bits, still runs but teeth are mashed. Also the chrome parts if you have them?

Ive asked Neil over at RW racing to make some pinions for me, one 10t and one 11t. The 11t will hopefully mesh nice with the worn spur I have. The 10t will be going on a sport tuned motor for the smaller cars (need to get the old pinion off first). Unless you have sport tuned motor for the trucks

You still snowed in up north? Snow just cleared yesterday in London. Nothing as bad as what you guys have had. Still freezing down here though. Good time to hibernate and get some builds done
