So we got our first big snow storm of the year last weekend and just like every year, people forget how to drive in the white stuff. A couple friends and I went to the local watering hole to unwind. We didn't plan on staying long. In walks a stranger looking for someone to give him a push out of a snow bank. We jump in our trucks and drive to where he is stuck. It took about 10 seconds to push him out and he was on his way. We get back in the truck and comment on how much it snowed since we got to the bar an hour earlier. We decide its probably not a good idea to go back to the bar and get all pie eyed. It was early so we decided to drive around and see how many other idiots were stuck.

Here's the part that pisses me off. We must have pushed, pulled, and shoveled out atleast 30 cars that night and not one of the drivers offered any compensation for the help. I didn't go out and try to make money from these people. Infact I probably would have turned it down if they did offer. Some of them didn't even say thanks. What is wrong with people? I've pulled out many people in years past and almost always got offered something in return. One guy gave me $50 and told me to get a new tow strap because mine was a bit frayed. Thats exactly what I used the money for.

I just can't believe how people are these days. Rant off.

In 1994 I bought an '88 Cougar LS. Great car, drove it for almost 10 years, but if they even predicted snow I couldn't get out of my driveway... Last rear wheel drive car I would ever own as a daily driver.

Not to mention, that is reason 103 never to leave a bar early. Guaranteed, after you left two hot chicks started a catfight, but then realized the reason they were fighting was silly and instead started to make out...next thing you know Metallica's tour bus breaks down outside; so to kill time they decide to play a set and buy the place a round...or at least I assume that's what happens the second I leave a bar...

So true!!! That would be my luck!

On a positive note, The bartender that was working that night got stuck on her way home so we helped her out. She mentioned to my friend that she was interested in me. Wish I would of known that before we left the bar, she was smoking hot! Guess where im going this weekend?!!!
