Kyosho Nitro Brute

I've been meaning to post this up, but here it is. After almost 20 years it's just as I remembered. I got this for my 11th birthday. I really wanted a grasshopper, but my older brother said get a gas truck. What a horrible idea. Back then, it seemed as if these nitro engines were so finicky to get started. Not to mention that I had to wrap a piece of string around the crank to get it to start. When it did finally run, keeping the dog bones in it was another story! I did love at it was a gift and I was the only kid that had a real r/c car.

I just back into racing and realized how expensive r/c cars were long ago. I believe after everything (purchased from a hobbytown usa) the truck with the radio, fuel and accessories was around $500 or so.

On to the pics

I got a Nitro Brute when I was about 14, in 10 years I only got about 2 decent runs out of it.
Years later I pulled it out of storage, determined to get the better of it.
It's fun, in an old skool kinda way, very fragile though (wheels, gears, driveshafts etc).

Now I have 2 runners (incl original), one New Built example, and one New In Box, untouched.
My regular runner is the electric Big Brute version haha..

Very nice truck and pictures. I remember racing with my Blackfoot against one friend who had an eletric Big Brute. Throw a Big Bear or two onto the track and what fun that was.
