I've been asking this for quite a while and hopefully some good soul would help me so that i can restore my AYK Bobcat/Buffalo kit. I have here an image of the model for reference and i will just upload the image of the said buggy once i get back.

The parts i need help with are as follows:
body shell : I have searched high and low in e-bay but cannot find one. could you suggest any third party alternative? there is 'AYK Radiant' but im not sure if this will fit without the need for modification.

pinion : I have the original spur gear, so what pinion pitch should would be compatible with it?

bumper : could you suggest alternative

wheels : i need the front and back, where may i get those, or an alternative?

thank you

Wow, that is pretty cool looking! I wish I knew more about them to help you out.

You could try emailing some of the folks over on this site. It helped me find some info on my Super trail.

Hi Ireg

You got yourself a nice car. Unfortunately there are no reproduction shells for the bobcat, boxer and buffalo that all use that chassis... So there are not so many options but using a different shell. I'm not sure the Radian shell fit so well on that chassis although it looks like the buffalo...

For the pinions I think they are the same type as Tamiya ones so there should be no problems there. For the wheels and tires you will need to try different options until you find one that works. I also want to mount modern wheels and tire on mine but I haven't spent time on that project yet. For the bumper, they don't really show up on ebay... I think CRP use to have a copy for a while though.

I'd try replacing the rear axles with kose's TLT extended axles. That's what I did on this car: http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=5973&p=106153
Once you got those you can put a 12mm hex and about any wheel that uses those.
For the front you could use ultima wheels, some shumachers, even some old rC10 ones: anything that fits a 8x4mm bearing
(8mm bearings fit imperial 1/3" bearing spaces)

its realy unfortunate but with regarsa to the 3 body shell mentioned, based on the images that i saw from internet, the boxer body shell is what i like the most( i might be wrong). its a relief knowing i can still find pinion to be used for this buggy :P

You can use a small hammer and tap firmly on the screw side of the shaft... It is just a pressure fit.

last weekend i have managed to re build the differential gear and applied grease in to it. and also rebuild the shocks and put new oil. :P
the hardest part was to removed all those stubborn rust. after cleaning my thumb and pointer finger were all numbed and swollen.
but quite happy after seeing the result
