I am starting out with a very worn 10buck jrx2 from EBay. it will be a stock appering desert truck.
I stripped down the chassis through it in the kitchen sink and wet sanded it down to 600 grit. I didnt even paint it. I put on a AutoZone carbon fiber decal to cover the chassis. it was cheaper than the cost of the painting supplys.
this truck will have a hand me down body from RedScampy. it is clear, cut and a little banged up but has nice lines. the only parts I bought were the peirod correct Jg mounts required to mount the truck body to the buggy chassis.
more to come hope you like it as this is going to be my basher for the yard and beach.

As for the motor plate no new one here I bead blasted it . I may mill one out a little but I think it will stay bead blasted look.

Very nice. It's amazing what that decal can cover up LOL.
Let me know if you need anything. I have some original stuff.

thanks, I think I am good I was building this out of all the junk I have left over. but I am ripping it back apart I am not happy with the chassis. this decal isnt holding as tight as needed for this job. I am going to redo a few chassis all at one time. and I got some 1970 Ford Torino Cobra semi flat black automotive epoxy paint I am going to try out on the chassis. should make them look like new.
