you guys think a 6gear all locked up with no diff action would be durable enough to use for a crawler tranny?

i would most likely use a stock tamiya silver can hooked up to a mpjet 4:1 planetary gear reduction.

i just got so many of the damn things i figure i might try to use one or two... besides the 32p gears would be kinda nice for a crawler.

I would think so, the gears being made the way they are makes me think they could handle it. IIRC, the thing that damages (besides other things) them are low turn mod motors...

cool deal. i've honestly never rebuilt one or anything since my first 10 when i was a wee lad.

how about running a locked 6gear at a really REALLY high rpm?

The best RC10 tranny for the job is a MIP case with Sand Scorcher internals. Thats what I used on Juggerlux
