I picked up an Integy Front Bulkhead for a Nitro Rustler #T6755 (aluminum), for $20.99

I needed one for the Stampede VXL 2wd (would have been #T7952), and that's all they had other than stock plastic.


It looked pretty close to the Traxxas stock plastic bulkhead for the Rustler/Stampede VXL 2wd... which why I thought I might be able to use it.

I think the hinge pin might be thicker on a Nitro than an electric.

Anyone know or should I just return it (unopened)? I guess I can order it direct from Integy for $28 + s/h.

all the bulks are same between the nitro rusty/pede, srt, e-rusty/pede, bandit, and slash (2wd) and the internals are the same in all their trannys

the hinge pins are the same diameter but with the srt and i think the nitros' use a e-clip hinge pin that isnt hardened

If they were the same, why would Integy offer 2 different part numbers... that's what I was asking, the difference between a Rustler Nitro and a Stampede Electric as far as the bulkhead is concerned.

your links are directing to the same part number on Integy.

i looked them up on the traxxas book and the bulks are the same. 2530 is black and 2530A is grey.

The Rustler Nitro exploded parts diagram shows the bulkhead to be part 2530A which is the same as the Stampede electric plastic part... so wonder why the difference for the Integy versions?

If so, I saved myself $8 + s/h plus a return trip.

If i go to Tower's site i see a different bulk that fits both.

the difference between these two are one is a screwed together half and the other is a solid part. Still should work but i would think you would want the solid bulk.

If the difference really is 1 is 2 pieces and 1 is 1 piece, then I will go ahead and put it on.

Although, I may need some machine screws... .

your link showed it came with the screws. If memory serves me right, all the screws from TRX on that bulk are machine all ready.
So you should be fine.

I pulled the Bulkhead from the Stampede tonight.

There is a minor difference, but only in the screws. The 2 screws that attach the bottom of the front shock tower to the bulkhead are not machine threaded, but are wide thread to go into plastic.






Comparing the Nitro Rustler Exploded manual, I think they should be 3x12mm RM (Round Head machine thread).

Looking thru my extra screws I don't seem to have any spares that size.

Otherwise it's a good swap, and is $8 cheaper than the Integy part for Electric Stampede/Rustler.

hmmm never would have thought about those 2... i agree with your size. Menards has a selection of metric hardware if you do not have a lhs by you. You may be stuck with a little shorter or a fuzz longer screw.

Yeah, I was gonna run out ot a local hardware store, but we have been iced in for the last 2 days.

as long as you go into the bulkhead with at least the diameter of the screw, you are OK, so a minimum of 3mm sticking out past the shock tower thickness is OK. more is better, but don't think you have to make the screw thread all the way through to the other side. I'd shoot for something like 5 or 6mm to be safe.

Lowes did not have a very large Metric selection, but I did find a 3mm machine screw (slotted round head).
I would have preferred a socket cap or phillips, but that's all they had. I went with a length that just protrudes thru the show tower/bulkhead 2-3 mm.

In all, all I needed was 2 over priced metric machine screws <$.70, the $20 part, and I saved another trip to the Hobby Shop and S/H for the correct part.

Now to find/modify some RC10 front rims/tires to fit the Vintage Gold Pan......
