Hey guys, new to the site, and new to electric rc. Just got a rc10t3 and converted it to a brushless. I ended up with a 5200kv 6.5t motor and was wondering what gearing I should use. Using the stock 87/20 now and seems to top out very fast. Looking for more top speed since there seems to be plenty of low end. I dont race it and mostly drive it on the street and some dirt. Oh and powered by a 2s lipo if that matters. Thanks

Hi, and welcome to the site.

Try this Brushless Gearing Guide:

You should be able to enter all of your info, and come up with the ideal gearing for your truck.

Thank you. But that didnt seem to help. If my motor is running cool. Can I just up the pinion for more topspeed? and just keep an eye on motor temp?

With BL, just keep an eye on the temp when gearing up. when it starts to run too warm back off a tooth or two and have fun.

Just get a temp gun and more pinions. Your tire diameter makes a difference.
